Hello!
Here is what I think about loosing weight:
First of all don’t focus on loosing anything. Be keen on winning and gaining: health, strength, fitness, speed, good looks, self confidence, happiness…
To get these things I recommend you to:
When you love your body it’s hard to misstreat it and much easier to take care of it. Think of your bod as your treasure, greatest gift, your home, the ultimate vehicle, some fantastic unbelievable machine that is able to regenerate itself and run, laugh, make love, babies, touch, dance, see beauty and was given to you so you can experience the world around you thus live your life. It woud not be possible if it wasn’t for your body. Just think about it..you only have one life, one chance to be you in this body..It makes sense to make it last as long as it’s possible.
Now what your body needs is good foods. By that I mean foods that are as natural as possible. I belive humans cannot outsmart nature so whatever processed or chemical pseudo foods will never be as good for your body as vegetables, fruit, greens, seeds, and nuts. Especially organic. And raw. Also your body loves water cuz its made of it in 70%. So drink a lot of water!
Another thing your body needs is plenty of phisical activity.
I think that it is not possible to be fully happy without some kind of excercise. The more we move each day, the more energy we have..The moe active we are the happier our body is. It is so because the muscles are supposed to be used. It is the purpose of their existance. Also they love challenges. Push them a little farther each day and you’ll see how happy they are ;) Just be like a little kid..Move around and do any kind of excercise you like. Enjoy life and feel good!
Hope that answers your question ;)

A year’s difference. I’m 23 and 5’1. Weight and inches lost achieved through clean eating, Jillian Michaels, and lots of running! My fitblr is acciomuscles.
I’ve been doing this weightloss/lifestylechange for just over 9 months, ( as of today im 154!) so thats over 40+ lbs down.
I never thought that I would be able to stick to it. BUT I AM IN LOVE WITH BEING HEALTHY. I broke up with my boyfriend in september and one of the last things he told me was that i had man arms, it started off as me just wanting to show him up, now its turned into me just wanting to be the best i can be. FINALLY. I was/am so tired of being the fat friend.
DON’T EVER GIVE UP! I still have 30ish more lbs to go, and even if it takes me another 9 months. I am so happy i stuck to it!

This blew my mind. Putting these photos side by side really drives home to me how far I have come in just under 3 years of training - when I see this, I am so proud!
Throughout my life, I have dealt with alimiting lung problem – I have diminished lung capacity as a result of scar tissue caused by a whooping cough lung tear in my childhood. This has lead to a ‘traumatic asthma’ if you will, and has made cardio extremely difficult. As a result, my teen years were increasingly sedentary, to the point where at 19, a good flight of stairs left me winded and woozy. I have also dealt with extreme insomnia from a very young age, and with no physical activity in my life, it was draining.
It was then that I decided I needed to make a change if I were to continue with a high-energy life. So I began my fitness pursuit in July of 2009, and in a very short time, I had not only changed my health, my strength and my body, but I had developed a life long passion for what I was doing. After that, the sky was the limit! I’m now a fitness model and motivational persona for those striving for healthy and fit lifestyles the natural way.

185 vs. 155
After avoiding the scale for over a year, I stepped on it last December and was horrified to see I was at my highest weight of 185 lbs. For someone who is 4’10”, this is definitely not a good thing. My body hurt every day to the point where I didn’t even want to get out of bed most mornings because I felt so sick. My acid reflux/heartburn flared up every day, no matter what I ate. I decided I needed to make a change. I started tracking my calories using MyFitnessPal and surrounded myself with a network of positive weight loss blogs for motivation. I started reading everything I could about healthy weight loss, switched to a low-sugar, low-fat diet, started eating a lot more fruits and veggies, and began drinking water and unsweetened tea only (at least 8 glasses a day). After I got the healthy eating part down, I started exercising 5-6 days a week for an hour each day. I switch up my routine regularly from cardio/weight machines at the gym to Zumba to the 30 Day Shred to running. Last month, I ran my first 5K, which is something I never thought I’d participate in. In 6 months, I’ve lost 30 pounds and my acid reflux is pretty much gone (other than the days I splurge on pizza or add salsa to my meal). I still have 45 more pounds to go before I reach my goal, but I amaze myself more and more each day. As someone who battled with unhealthy weight loss throughout high school, I can personally vouch for the fact that doing it the healthy way may not be easy, but the results are consistent and life-changing. Although my body is changing, my attitude and outlook on life has changed so much more. I’ve learned so much about myself and have also made so many friends along the way. Every one of us has the willpower inside to achieve anything we want…you just have to find it, hold onto it, and not give up!
