I am 173cm. The photo was taken when I was around 80+ kilograms (176+ lbs).
The second one was today (June 18th, 2013) and I am 64 kilograms (141+ lbs).
I used to be depressed back then. But then I found a light and I decided to recover, and started my journey. In the first weeks, it was really hard. I kept on coming back and forth, and was on the fence between hating my self and trying not to hate my self.
On January 2013, I changed my lifestyle completely, including my behavior and the way I look at my self. I started working out, doing some programs, eat clean, and especially loving my self the way I should be.
And here I am, 64kilos, fit in my old S size shirt and keep on loving my self. I am not there yet and this isn’t a result yet :)
So far I did Insanity by BeachBody and now I combined it with Les Mills Combat, some Turbo Fire, and also Brazilian Butt Lift.

Whenever I’m having a bad day I’m just going to come back to these pictures.
Because my journey to health wasn’t just about the physical aspects of it, it was about the mental and emotion parts as well. These pictures not only remind me how far I’ve come in terms of my weight, they remind me how far I’ve come as a person. I’m such a happier and more positive person in all aspects of my life and every day I strive to become stronger and to help and inspire people in whatever way that I can.
I’ve gone from a shirt size XL to medium, pants size 18-20 to 7, and even my shoe size went down from an 8 to 7 1/2. I’m proud of my body and myself and I think I look incredible.
I’ve lost 112 lbs and gained so much confidence in myself. These pictures are proof I can do anything I set my mind to and when I look at them I feel unstoppable.
Well I got to say this was the most difficult thing I have ever done. There’s a gap of 7 months between the pictures. I am 5’5” and I went from my highest weight (198 punds) to my lowest (141 pounds) only through healthy eating (LOTS of fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, yogurts, milk, eggs, strictly no sugar and carbs only at lunch) and exercising (1 hour on the treadmill every day for 7 months).
Never give up, keep going.
Before and after. Eating healthy & working out 3-6 times a week. First picture is from 1 January 2013. Last picture is from yesterday.
This is me with almost a 40lbs difference. Please visit my blog or instagram if you have any questions you can change the language in the left corner of my blog so you can understand it.

It’s been an amazing week: Officially 50 lbs LOST!!
51.5 lbs, to be exact. Started at 287.5 lbs and now I’m rocking 236. I’m 5’9.5”
I’ve also lost 49 inches all over my body. Some days it’s hard to see a difference, but that’s why measurements are SO important!
I am so grateful to hit this milestone. The weight loss finally feels real and every lb lost from now on is going to be a huge achievement.
Whether I lose 90 or 100 lbs, it’s so awesome to know I’m over halfway done. I now have LESS to lose than I’ve already lost. Less ahead of me than I’ve already accomplished! I’m so happy.
This took about 6 months to accomplish: clean eating, no processed foods or refined sugar, TONS of protein and vegetables. I didn’t exercise for the first few months but I’ve spent the last 2.5 months doing heavy lifting and HIIT cardio (usually running or stairs).
I’m working to get to one-derland. Join me! :)

Hi my name’s Maddy, I began my weight loss journey approximately 18 months ago, standing at 166cm’s and 109kg’s. I initially lost 22kg’s in 6 months before I stopped training for a while and maintained my weight for 7 months. In the last 5 months I began trying to lose weight again because I still wasn’t comfortable with my body. In the last 5 months I have lost a further 18kg’s putting my total weight loss at 40kg’s. I still have a further 10kg’s to lose until I am at the healthiest weight for my height but I am very happy with the progress that I have made. I currently stand at 166cm’s and 69kg’s. I was teased all my life for my size and since I have lost weight I have become a more confident and happy person, with the people who used to torment me now complementing me. The strict healthy eating, exercise regimes and sacrifices I made to get to where I am now where definitely worth it.
Any questions about my journey feel free to ask http://the-surgeon-and-the-scientist.tumblr.com/

I’m very satisfied & proud of my weight loss! All my life I have struggled with being overweight & I’m finally where I want to be. The journey was definitely not easy..but overall, I wanted to make lifestyle change for myself. I’m currently still maintaining my weight by working out 4 days out of the week & of course eating right. Not only do I look great, but I feel GREAT!
10 months of clean eating (with some random treats), cardio, strength training, yoga, HIIT, and not obsessing with the scale. If something I have learned while losing weight is that the number in the scale means nothing. Muscle weights more than fat and all that jazz. :P

GW: To hell with the scale! Just some more toning.

*Side note: I’ve got a lot of flabby skin so I’m taking small donations for my operation. My insurance will cover half of it when I hit the -100lb loss mark, and I’m only ten pounds away. If you’d like to donate please visit the link below. Spread the word! I love you all!
If I can do it, anyone can!

I have always had issues with my body image, but I am slowly learning to treat my body the way it deserves to be treated and loving it more and more everyday!
I frankly have no idea what I weighed in the left photo, but I know it was easily around my highest weight. I was generally in good health in that I didn’t get sick, however I had high cholesterol, problems sleeping, walking long distances, and could barely make it up a flight of stairs without getting winded. These days, I have none of these problems. My energy levels are through the roof, I love to run, and although I haven’t had it tested recently, I’m going to hazard a guess that my lipid levels are at an all-time low. I still have about 15-20 lbs to go before I make my goal, but at this point I’m more concerned about building my strength and endurance than numbers on a scale. All thanks to a year plus of clean eating, staying active, but NEVER “dieting” or depriving myself. :)

The day the “before” picture was taken was after my mom came to visit. She had brought me gifts of cloths which were “maternity” sizes without her knowledge. The very next day I made the choice to change my life. 60 pounds later (with diet only), I was flabby but satisfied with all the hard work. As the year passed on and came the new year of 2013, I decided to start working out to better my health. Cardio every day and training three days a week. Still losing the fat, but gaining muscle. Now I can finally say I am happy with my body. I am truly embarrassed to show my “before” picture to anyone as it makes me uncomfortable, but I felt it was fair as it was all the “before and after” pictures that roamed on tumblr that gave me the motivation to keep going. Thank you tumblr.
So this is me (bethgetsfit) 1 year apart, April 2012 to May 2013. One day I just got fed up with constantly feeling tired and sluggish, and decided to do something about it.
The majority of the weight loss happened in the first 6 months, and after that I have been in a slow loss / maintenance period. I try to exercise 4 days a week although I don’t always make that. On a good week I will cycle to work 4 x a week, jog 3 x a week and also do a body weight strength workout 2 or 3 x a week.
Whilst I don’t think that counting calories is a good idea and it’s definitely not for everyone, I do track sporadically to see how I am getting on. I generally eat 1500 - 2200 per day depending on my activity level. I currently eat about 50-70% clean and that’s something I want to work on.
Before I started this journey my metabolism was completely shot from 10 years of (unintentional) starving and binging. I felt neither hunger signals nor a feeling of fullness when I ate. I gained weight despite eating what seemed like very little food, and everything I did was slow. I still struggle with binging occasionally and I’m still constantly fighting the urge to just spend whole days in bed. However, I now eat well, feel fantastic and, most importantly, feel hunger and fullness!
This journey is still ongoing for me, but this picture is just a reminder to not be so hard on myself. I’ve come a long way.
Stats:
5’4
SW: 178lbs+
During picture: 150lbs ish
CW: 146lbs
GW: 140lbs but really I don’t care
